On the Eve of Being Atom

“It is an awesome feeling to know you are about to change someone’s life forever.” Tomorrow, When the War Began ~ Will it be for better or worse… not talking happily ever after but that moment between two people; “On the Eve of Being Atom”.

You’d think she never walked before
But she would go anywhere… but where she’d been
with him… yes again and again
From her head down to her toes, she thinks that she knows
“Oh darn”

An atom bomb baby wasn’t meant to fly
“Now I’m a believer”
A million times hotter than TNT, a uranium fever
So she stayed but why
Because every man should be armed

And she was a nuclear payload
He wanted to push her buttons
How she was comin’
undone “I’m gonna dig myself a hole”
“I lie here charmed”

She thought, she said, she survived
Because here they were together
No fallout shelter last forever
Only this love was alive
Lying in his arms

Like he’s the only man in town
Thirteen women don’t say I love you
Yet she whispers “love me like you do”
Holding on like a uranium rock falling down
When three little words cause such harm

“I love you”
Who said it to who?
Is this love or maybe a false alarm
